The Chair of Engineering Design (KTmfk) contributed seven scientific papers to the 37th Design for X (DfX) Symposium 2026. The publications reflect the broad scope of current research at the chair: from AI-based simulation and similarity assessment of finite element models to aesthetic evaluation of topology-optimized parts and SysML v2-based digital thread architectures. Further papers explore the relationship between team flow and engineering design decisions, the reuse of metamodels for clinch joint design, and realistic modeling of manufacturing-specific surface topographies. All seven contributions are published in the DS 151 proceedings.
