As part of the “Girls and Technology” holiday programme, schoolgirls can experience technology first-hand and gain an insight into everyday life at a university. On 9 September 2027, girls from grades 7 to 9 took part in the programme at KTmfk. Guided by Ha Pham and Jessica Pickel, they explored the basics of human-machine interaction in a playful way. They built LEGO gearboxes following assembly instructions, assembled and disassembled a real gearbox, and tested how exoskeletons can provide support during physically demanding tasks. To put this into practice, they solved small puzzles while working overhead and used a cordless screwdriver to experience the difference between working with and without the support of an exoskeleton.
