Follwing the invitation of Prof. Ola Isaksson, Dr.-Ing. Stefan Götz spent a research stay with the Systems Engineering Design research group at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg in August. The exchange focused on uncertainties in virtual product development, design margins, change propagation, and systems engineering. Together with Arindam Brahma, connections between the research approaches at Chalmers and KTmfk and perspectives for future collaborations were discussed. Moreover, the existing collaboration with Rikard Söderberg and Kristina Wärmefjord in Robust Design and tolerancing has been strengthened.
