The biennial NORDTRIB Conference was hosted by Tampere University in Finland from 19 to 22 June 2026. With 158 participants from 24 countries, the conference is one of the largest international conferences in the field of tribology. As part of the session on computational tribology, the KTmfk was represented by a presentation given by Klara Feile. The presentation introduced a multiscale simulation approach that enables the prediction of lubrication parameters in total knee replacements based on elastohydrodynamic modelling. In addition to the technical presentations, the conference featured several plenary lectures on experimental and computational tribology, as well as an institute tour and opportunities for scientific exchange during a joint boat tour.
