KTmfk participated in the 19th CIRP Conference on Computer-Aided Tolerancing

From June 15 to 17, 2026, the 19th CIRP Conference on Computer-Aided Tolerancing took place at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. In the capital of Alberta, researchers in the field of tolerance management gathered to present the latest research findings and discuss future challenges.

In addition to the expert presentations, the conference offered a variety of opportunities for personal interaction. In particular, the coffee breaks and the conference dinner provided a pleasant setting to strengthen existing international collaborations, establish new contacts, and further develop ideas beyond the scope of the presentations.

The KTmfk was represented by three presentations from Dr. Stefan Götz (Mapping Uncertainties in Tolerancing), Jan Kopatsch (PINNs in Tolerance Analysis), and Stephan Freitag (Assembly Sequencing using Sparse Batch Variation Data), as well as a keynote presentation (Dr. Stefan Götz & Dr. Habil Lazhar Homri, Tolerancing in the Context of Industry 5.0), and was thus able to actively contribute to the conference program. We look back on three eventful days in Edmonton, thank the organizers and all participants, and are already looking forward to the next conference in Gothenburg.
