Schoolgirls explored the world of gear technology during Girls’ Day 2026 on April 23. Guided by Jessica Pickel and Hoang Ha Pham, two groups of pupils from grades 7 to 11 took part in the “Tooth by Tooth” program. Alongside impressions of student life, the basics of gear systems were introduced in a clear and engaging way. The focus was on not just observing technology, but actively trying it out and experiencing it firsthand. Through hands-on exercises with Lego gear systems, participants were able to apply and deepen their knowledge. A particular highlight was the assembly and disassembly of a real gear system, making the fascination of engineering tangible.
