Students disassemble and assemble a gearbox, experiencing machine elements hands-on in function, structure, and interaction

As part of the Machine Elements course, students have the opportunity to independently disassemble and reassemble a gearbox in an assembly lab. This makes the theoretical content of the course tangible: machine elements are not only calculated and sketched, but experienced in their real function, assembly, and disassembly. A successful teaching format at the KTmfk that strengthens practical education and inspires enthusiasm for engineering.
