Christopher Platis, M. Sc.

Christopher Platis joined the Machine Elements and Tribology team as a research assistant at the beginning of October. He previously studied mechanical engineering at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, specialising in engineering design, advanced mechanics and production metrology. As part of his student work and as a student assistant at KTmfk, he worked on contact simulations and the influence of the microgeometry of rough surfaces on elastohydrodynamics. His future work at the chair will include working on a DFG research project to develop an adaptive control of oil-lubricated systems at the model level (ENDURE).
