Doctorate Paul Schächtl
The Chair of Engineering Design congratulates Mr. Paul Schächtl on successfully passing the doctoral examination for Dr.-Ing. with distinction on 13.05.2025. Mr. Schächtl presented the contents of his dissertation entitled “Tolerance-compliant product and process design of additively manufactured mechanisms on the example of fused layer modeling”. In his dissertation, he developed a method with which the specific requirements of additive manufacturing and the tolerance management can be taken into account in design and development. He also successfully passed the internal doctoral examination in the evening by his colleagues. We wish him all the best for the future!
