Participation with distinction at the 24th International Conference on Wear of Materials (WOM)
The 24th International Conference on Wear of Materials (WOM) was hosted in Banff, Canada from April 16-20, 2023. The conference is focused on advances in understanding the fundamental and applied aspects of wear and friction of materials. Unique to the conference is the paper submission process, which includes extensive peer review in collaboration with the Elsevier journal “Wear” to ensure the technical quality of the papers. Representing Benedict Rothammer (KTmfk), Max Marian (Universidad Católica de Chile) gave the presentation “Evaluation of the Wear-Resistance of DLC-Coated Hard-on-Soft Pairings for Biomedical Application.” Thereby, the international collaboration was selected from about 80 contributions and awarded with the Ken Ludema Best Paper Award.
