EVOLONIC develops drone for early detection of forest fires
The student working group EVOLONIC at FAU has developed a drone that will detect forest fires at a very early stage in the future, saving valuable time for firefighting. Participants from EVOLONIC attended the KTmfk elective course (Prof. Wartzack) Concept Development of Innovative Products (KIP) and the TechStart (together with ZOLLHOF), where they built up product development skills and also know-how for founding a start-up. The kick-off took place on 9 August 2023, in particular with the participation of the Minister of the Interior Joachim Herrmann and the Mayor of Erlangen Dr. Florian Janik on the premises of the Erlangen Fire Brigade.
