The 33rd International Symposium of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) was held in Honolulu, Hawaii from July 15-20. The International Symposium is the largest international conference on systems engineering and combines research, industrial application and teaching. Together with the Graz University of Technology and Siemens Digital Industries Software, the Chair of Design Engineering presented an interesting paper on the potentials of linking system models with discipline-specific models. The focus was on the advantages of linking with CAD models in the context of engineering change, as well as the requirements for tool chains derived from this. The topic was discussed with international participants during the very well organized conference.
