After a digital run in 2021, the two-yearly VDI symposium on journal and rolling bearings finally took place again in Schweinfurt on June 14-15. This time KTmfk was represented by Mr. Halmos, Mr. Kramer and Dr. Bartz. Mr. Kramer, together with Mr. Rüth from the Chair of Machine Elements, Gears and Tribology (MEGT) at RPTU, gave a presentation on a “Method for Considering Geometric Deviations in the Design of Cylindrical Roller Bearings”. Mr. Halmos gave a presentation on “Damage and failure mechanisms of rolling bearings under oscillating motions”. Both presentations were very well received and enabled successful networking with other experts in this field. During the successful social program, existing contacts could be intensified and new contacts could be made.
